Delaware Christmas Parade 2008!
November 23, 2008: The Delaware Chorus enters the MainStreet Delaware & Hiram Masonic Lodge Christmas Parade for the first time ever and floats away with first place!
The theme of the Christmas Parade was "A Christmas Carol". Charles Dickens wrote "A Christmas Carol" which profiled the infamous Ebenezer Scrooge and how the three spirits of Christmas thawed his black heart and changed his life forever.
The Delaware float was based on the Christmas Carol and captured one of the cheery moments from "Christmas Present".
Many thanks to Holly Gerspacher who organized our float entry and to all those unsung heros (shown below) who showed up to build the float and then dressed in period costunes to sing on that chilly day in November!

Our Christmas Parade Entry could not have been possible without the generosity of several of our Local Businesses
- The Delaware County Fair Board for the use of the People Mover, Thanks to Phil Terry & Steve Vaughn.
- Signature Signs, Larry Scheeder for the great banner & complimentary signage.
- Fundamentals, Tammy Furlong for donation of laminating.
Lastly, thanks to our hosts, MainStreet Delaware & the Hiram Masonic Lodge for allowing us to participate in all the fun !!
